Terdema Ussery, our founder, has been a practicing attorney licensed in both California and the District of Columbia for over 35 years. His practice began in the Real Estate and Entertainment Departments of the International law firm of Morrison and Foerster. Over the years, Ussery has continued to practice in those areas but has served most prominently in the areas of Sports, Media, Digital Technology and Live Entertainment. He has negotiated billions of dollars in media contracts, represented some of the world's greatest athletes as their marketing agent, overseen or been involved in the design, construction and development of sports venues and as well as other real estate developments both in the United States and abroad.
Most recently, the Ussery Law Group has expanded into the area of Mass Torts where they have become co-counsel with Levin Papantonio Rafferty Buchanan O’Brien Barr & Mougey, P.A., one of the world’s leading Mass law Torts firms. In that capacity, the Ussery Law Group is participating in select litigation.
Community Engagement
From the very beginning, the mantra of the Ussery Law Group has been to “do good” and “do well” at the same time. The concepts are not mutually exclusive despite what some might think. Indeed, we feel it is our obligation to contribute to the communities within which we serve, be they for underprivileged kids, struggling artists, senior citizens or those that have sacrificed financially for the sake of public service. In that regard, members of our firm have served in leadership capacities on the following boards: Boys and Girls Clubs of America; The Salvation Army; the Council on Foreign Relations; The California Museum of Science and Industry; Dallas Museum of Art; the Texas Higher Education Board; and the Dallas Housing Authority Board of Commissioners; The Communities Foundation of Texas; and, The Constitutional Rights Foundation.
